Israeli security forces reported a series of arrests and weapon seizures across the West Bank and central Israel over the weekend.

Police discovered the body of a man in his 40s who resided in East Jerusalem within the Wadi Rahal area near Bethlehem. Officers and forensic investigators from the Israel Defense Forces arrived at the scene to collect evidence. The remains are scheduled for transfer to the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute for an autopsy. Authorities stated that initial findings suggest the death resulted from a criminal incident rather than a terror attack.

During overnight raids in Bethlehem on Sunday night, security forces detained a Palestinian man with suspected ties to Hamas. Three suspects were taken into custody during the operation. Investigators searched the homes of the Hamas suspect and another resident believed to possess weapons. Officers confiscated a loaded hunting rifle, IDF uniforms, and various technological devices. The two detainees were moved to the Ma'ale Adumim police station. They face charges for carrying illegal weapons and possessing unauthorized military equipment.

In Hebron, officers arrested a man in his 30s for holding a hunting rifle and a large quantity of ammunition. Meanwhile, police in Kalansuwa, a city in central Israel with a majority Arab population, uncovered a stash of stolen military gear. The seizure occurred during a broader effort to curb violent crime in the Arab sector.

The cache included one Kalashnikov rifle, three M-16 assault rifles, eight handguns, six fragmentation grenades, two stun grenades, thousands of rounds of ammunition, and three tactical vests. An explosives expert examined the grenades after the discovery. Two family members present during the raid were detained for questioning. All seized items were logged as potential evidence.

In Rahat, police rescued a man found chained to the floor of a home during a weapons sweep. His leg was shackled to the ground. Preliminary reports indicate he was restrained by family members due to drug use. His brother was arrested and taken to the Rahat police station.

The investigation into the Bethlehem body, the Hebron arrest, and the Kalansuwa weapons stash remains active.
